A Leyland Vanquard 22 seater, specially built in England to transfer elderly people, persons with reduced mobility but specially people in wheelchairs.
A solid tail lift with the two doors widely opened, would lift up almost anything up to 250 kilos mixed weight. Nicely roll in on the 100% flat floor and get in position. Special rails fitted on the floor and at the sides of the cabin will accept the special belts and secure the wheelchair and the user.

A wide number of combinations aboard regarding the number of wheelchairs and normal seats is possible. Leather removable seats with low back, usually left in the front ,guarantee a perfect view to the front. Standing size cabin enables easy moving when loading and unloading people, wheelchairs and luggage. Side view is second to none. Side small sliding windows and two sunroofs offer an alternative to those who usually prefer to take advantage of the incoming fresh air .If not air conditioning evaporators will cool you down!..

A high roof Leyland Sherpa 300 series fairly old but still going, fitted with a tail lift lifting up to 250 kilos of mixed weight and unwin floor rails, safety belts and other fittings, can take aboard anything from one to four wheelchairs, users remaining sitted, plus 4-7 able bodied persons, a total of 10 or 11 pax. All wheelchairs are belted on the floor and passenger safety belts are available if disable has forgotten his at home!..

The wide cabin takes a wheelchair in the middle and a normal seat at each side, securing special care of the disable on trips. Standing size cabin also allows the helpers to move in the cabin offering care to their people if needed. Window view is good for most of the wheelchair users with an exception to the very tall ones. There again ,regular stops when on an excursion, allow everyone to enjoy the view , take a photo or have an ice cream!..

A Ford Escort specially adapted in the U.K. having the roof extended high enough, with a lowered floor and hydraulic suspension at the rear wheels, a tail aluminum folding up ramp, promise a nice ,safe and smooth entrance of the wheelchair. Window view is superb thanks to the high roof at the sides and to the extra windscreen right on top of the driver’s windscreen. A helper next to the driver and a medium size person right behind him fit perfectly. Two normal size suitcases and a couple of handbags would fit without any difficulties at the two sides of the wheelchair.

A Citroen Berlingo locally adapted with a fold up aluminum ramp at the back, and lowered floor would take easily a wheelchair user remaining sitted in the wheelchair plus two able bodied persons , one next to the driver and one next to the wheelchair. Two medium size suitcases and a couple of handbags would fit perfectly. Two roof special luggage bars would absorb any surprises of an extra suitcase or an extra foldable wheelchair.
