Most of the big hotels are fully accessible at the common areas and accessible special toilets exist near the lobbies. Bathrooms are most of the times accessible but showers are not a must yet. Some other smaller hotels and hotel apartments are equally accessible. In all the cases shower has always been the biggest problem for an easy access. The unique seafront road of Limassol, extended up to 16 kilometers east of the city among the majority of most of the hotels , newly built with wide pavements, ramps for easy access, as well as special bike trucks which can easily be used by the wheelchair users is a joy to be using it having the opportunity for shopping along the high numbers of shops at both sides of the road. For those that like to spend hours of walking down to the beach, a special fully accessible truck is available for them. Starting from the sandy beach east of town and extended also 16 kilometers east along the sandy beach, in front of all the beach hotels of the area, between the swimmers’ umbrellas and the sea water, is a unique opportunity and joy, even in the evenings as it is fully lighted all the way up to the end.
